And finally…
Our latest release by the San-Francisco based monster Ghosts On Tape is almost ready. You may have gathered from his track on our Wireblock 002 compilation that GoT is one of these dudes who effortlessly manages to join the dots between many of the genres we love so much, taking the best elements of UK Funky, Dancehall, Bmore and some un-classifiable sh*t we can’t even begin to label.
The resulting Predator Mode EP is the hottest tropical bouillabaisse you ever tasted, and to top it all off, we only went and got a remix from the UK Funky don known as Roska.
With fans already including Modeselektor, Hudson Mohawke, Diplo, Martyn, Kode9, Rustie and more, you want to get onto this sharpishhh. You heard it here first - standby for vinyl and digital in the next few weeks.

Hudson Mohawke’s (incredible) debut album ‘Butter’ is forthcoming on Warp. We thought it was about time to remind you of these bootleg tracks he made a few years back and we released on a hyper limited 12inch with our brethren at LuckyMe - if anything just to make sure these had a place in history rather than just a place on our corrupted hard drives.
Ultra limited repress hitting stores in the next month - if you slept on it first time around don’t do it again. Second editions will come with a green/blue B-side (different to the Red B side of first editions).

Hudson’s album launch party will take place in Stereo at our club Numbers on Saturday 18th October

The crew at XLR8R magazine in the US featured us for their ‘Labels We Love’ series (thanks!) and asked for a podcast to go with it… so we stepped up.
Check out the tracklisting below, mixed by Spencer and Nelson, and grab the mix at XLR8R. Hope you like it - there’s some previews of upcoming Wireblock and Glasgow stuff in there to test out and a few sick bits made by people we’re really into right now.
Shouts to all the artists and labels music we used - please support them by buying their music and going to see them play. If you like it, do your friends a favour and tellem.

Finally it’s time to unleash the beast. Rustie’s ‘Bad Science’ will be available next week (17th August) at all fine record stores across the galaxy and beyond.
First pressings (all the ones out on release date) feature a sick picture sleeve with spot varnish (shiny text, see below) designed by our friends Remote Location and Konx-Om-Pax. That’s ‘limited edition’ if you need it spelled out.
For this heavily anticipated release, we’ve also tempted a rare remix from Heinrich Mueller; being one of both Rustie and Wireblock’s all time heroes through his work as one half of Drexciya and his Dopplereffekt, Der Zyklus and Japanese Telecom guises. If you don’t know… better ask somebody. See this mix for a glimpse into the ocean…
Bad Science Quotes:
“A hypercolour sound palette of eight-bit bleeps, gun-clap percussion, and laser synths that sound like Sonic The Hedgehog twirling a stripper’s pole. Importantly, though, it’s the way he stitches sounds together - for the floor, not the chin-strokers - that’s the secret of his success.”
Guardian Guide - Single Of The Week
“Rustie is one of the most unique and thrilling next generation producers in the UK right now. There’s more goes on in 10 minutes inside his riotous young mind, than in many people’s entire careers!”
Mary Anne Hobbes - BBC Radio 1
“Rustie is hands down one of the most exciting producers in music today, period. I’ve been slamming ‘Bad Science’ for months.”
Starkey - Planet Mu.
Also played heavily by the likes of Kode9, Martyn, Modeselektor, Oneman, Crookers, Busy P, Seiji, Hudson Mohawke and more. The list goes on, and on.
