Out now and limited to 500 12″s - digital on sale soon.
Music at Nite is the project from brothers C & D Clark hailing from Glasgow.
D (Dave to his mum) is known for his music under the name ‘Truffle Club’ on O.S.C.A.R.R. and Stuffrecords, most recently releasing the magnificent track “Gone Blue” on Dissident. You might also recognize him from his work as one half of the Optimo remix team beside J.D. Twitch (both have been busy recently remixing for DFA, Tigersushi and Eskimo).
The duo have come up with a rare beast of an EP (in our humble opinions). Absorbing influences from the glitches of micro-haus to the motor-city aquaticism of Drexciya.

From the vaults - Lory D live/DJ at 69 in Paisley (nr Glasgow) from May 2004.
Tracklisting unavailable.

Check out this recording from the first time Lory D ever played in Glasgow (well almost Glasgow). I recorded it on my minidisc back in the day hence the fade out. He played for about two hours but it seemed like 20 minutes. Who does 2 hour livesets these days? Lory D does. To this day it was probably my favourite ever set played in my favourite ever club. People were just going fucking nuts. We had only really heard Road Hogg prior to the show… Live remixes of LAM (wtf?) + Spanish hip hop tracks sped up to 130 bpm + Lory D cover version of Safety Dance + no smoking ban = BEAST.

Our next release has arrived from planet Rome!
We could chat about Lory D’s production and history all day, but we’ll leave you to your own devices with the short clips below and a search engine. Lawrie at Curvepusher cut the record and it sounds hefty.
‘Remixalo’ is a remix of ‘Cleaner From Prati’, originally released as a 7″ on the last Sounds Never Seen release.
The vinyl release is limited to 500.

Clash Magazine (Issue 31 - October 2008): “After Rustie’s recent ‘Zig Zag’ on Wireblock, which Boomkat are calling their ’single of the year’, Lory D smash lands with his pummeling acid grooves. This fucker will make you dance dance dance as Lory D will abduct your feet, mind and sense, and spit you back out several minutes later not knowing whether you needed a shit or a haircut.”
Also receiving advance plays from the likes of Modeselektor, Surgeon, JD Twitch, Dave Clarke, Laurent Garnier, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, and The Hacker to name a few.
The upfront whites sold out in a matter of minutes but worry not the super loud cut 12″ vinyl with silver labels are gonna drop properly into stores around the 23rd/24th October. In the spirit of Lory’s old SNS releases it’s strictly limited to 500 copies only so don’t sleep!
We’ve got a few parties coming up at our Numbers club in Glasgow, which we run with our sister labels Stuffrecords & Dress2Sweat, our designers Re-Loc and numerous others.
